Visual identity
Visual identity for Cuba’s heritage cities.

The project
The Network of Historians and Conservators of Cuba's Heritage Cities needed a unified visual identity for the country's historic centers. The system addresses the lack of cohesive branding for places that are heterogeneous yet united by a common recovery effort. The identity draws from four elements —rooflines, arches and fortresses, cobblestones and water— combined into a shield-shaped imagotype: a symbol of protection and unity that celebrates the diversity of the heritage sites.
Visual identity project made with Laura San Juan. Tools: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Recognition
For the synthesis achieved in the visual identity and its application guidelines, which give a fitting answer to the communication and representation needs of the Network of Offices of the Historian and the Conservator of Cuba’s Heritage Cities, which lead the development of the country’s historic centres.
