Sera Creativo ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Keyva ("the App") handles your information.

Key Principle: We prioritize your privacy. We do not collect, access, or share your personal data. All your information stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud account.

Information We Collect

Data You Provide

When you use Keyva, you create and store:

  • Projects: Names, icons, and metadata
  • Environments: Names, icons, and organization data
  • Variables: Keys, values, notes, and environment associations
  • Secret Values: Sensitive data marked as "secret"

Important: All this data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account. We never have access to this information.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Personal identifiable information (name, email, address)
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Device information or identifiers
  • Location data
  • Crash reports or diagnostics
  • Browsing or usage patterns
  • Any data from your projects or variables

How We Store Your Data

Local Storage

  • Data is stored on your device using SwiftData (Apple's database framework)
  • Encrypted by iOS/macOS file system encryption
  • Only accessible by the App on your device

iCloud Sync

  • When enabled, data syncs to your personal iCloud account using CloudKit
  • End-to-end encrypted by Apple
  • Only accessible by you on devices signed into your Apple ID
  • We do not have access to your iCloud data
  • Sync can be disabled in iOS/macOS Settings

Keychain Storage

  • Secret values are stored in Apple Keychain
  • Encrypted using industry-standard encryption
  • Syncs securely via iCloud Keychain (if enabled)
  • Protected by your device passcode/biometrics
  • We cannot access or decrypt these values

How We Use Your Data

We do not use your data because we never have access to it. Your data:

  • Stays on your devices
  • Syncs only to your personal iCloud account
  • Is never transmitted to our servers
  • Is never analyzed or processed by us
  • Is never shared with third parties

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. Period.

  • No third-party services
  • No analytics providers
  • No advertising networks
  • No data brokers
  • No affiliates or partners

The only data sharing occurs when:

  • You manually export variables to share with others
  • Apple processes your iCloud sync (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
  • StoreKit handles subscription payments (governed by Apple's privacy policy)

Third-Party Services

Keyva uses Apple's built-in frameworks:

iCloud (CloudKit)

  • Syncs your data across your devices
  • Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
  • Data encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Only you can access your data

StoreKit (In-App Purchases)

Processes subscription payments

We only receive:

  • Transaction confirmation (purchase succeeded/failed)
  • Subscription status (active/expired)

We do NOT receive:

  • Your payment information
  • Credit card details
  • Billing address
  • Purchase history details

Apple Keychain

  • Securely stores secret values
  • Encrypted and protected by your device
  • We cannot access stored secrets

Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

Although we don't collect your data, you have these rights:

Right to Access

Your data is always accessible through the App on your devices.

Right to Portability

Export your data anytime using the App's export features (.env, JSON, YAML formats).

Right to Deletion

  • Delete individual variables, environments, or projects in the App
  • Uninstall the App to remove all local data
  • Disable iCloud sync and delete data from iCloud settings
  • Cancel your subscription anytime without penalty

Right to Rectification

Edit any data directly in the App at any time.

Right to Restriction

You can:

  • Disable iCloud sync in iOS/macOS Settings
  • Delete specific data within the App
  • Control what data you create and store

Data Retention

  • Local data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the App
  • iCloud data: Retained in your iCloud account until you delete it
  • Keychain data: Retained until you delete the variable or uninstall the App
  • Subscription data: Apple retains transaction records per their policies

We do not retain any of your data because we never access it.

Security

We implement security best practices:

App-Level Security

  • Sensitive values stored in Apple Keychain
  • SwiftData encryption via iOS/macOS file system
  • No network transmission of your data (except iCloud sync)
  • Regular security updates

Apple Platform Security

  • iOS/macOS sandboxing
  • App Store code signing
  • System-level encryption
  • Secure enclave for biometric authentication

Your Responsibility

  • Keep your device secure with a passcode/biometrics
  • Keep your Apple ID secure
  • Regularly update iOS/macOS
  • Back up important data

Children's Privacy

Keyva is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has used the App, please contact us.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

  • Changes in the App's features
  • Changes in privacy laws
  • Improvements to our privacy practices

Notice of Changes:

  • Updated policy posted in the App and on our website
  • Effective date updated at the top
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance
  • Material changes will be highlighted

International Users

Keyva is available worldwide. Your data:

  • Is stored on your device (wherever you are)
  • May sync to iCloud servers in your region (controlled by Apple)
  • Is subject to your local data protection laws
  • Is not transferred to our servers (we don't have any)

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under CCPA, you have the right to:

  • Know what data is collected: None, beyond what you create in the App
  • Delete your data: Delete in-app or uninstall
  • Opt-out of sale: We don't sell data
  • Non-discrimination: We don't discriminate based on privacy choices

European Users (GDPR)

We comply with GDPR principles:

  • Lawfulness: You provide data to use the App's features
  • Purpose limitation: Data used only for app functionality
  • Data minimization: We collect no unnecessary data
  • Accuracy: You control and update your data
  • Storage limitation: You control retention
