Privacy Policy

At Nakama we collect the minimum data needed for the app to work. We do not sell information to third parties, we do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not require App Tracking Transparency.

1. Data we collect

  • Account: anonymous identifier, or — if you sign in with Apple/Google — the identity token and optionally your name and email (Apple only shares these the first time you approve sign-in).
  • Conversation content: what you write or say to your companion, its replies, and the context/memory derived from them. Stored under your account to sync across your devices.
  • Diary: entries you explicitly create in the Diary tab. Private to your account.
  • Purchases & subscriptions: product identifier and subscription status (we never store your card number — it is handled by Apple StoreKit).
  • Minimal technical diagnostics: app version, platform, and anonymous errors to debug problems.

2. Optional permissions

Camera, photos, microphone, contacts, calendar, location and Face ID are optional and only requested when you enable the feature that needs them. You can revoke them at any time from iOS Settings.

3. External services we send data to

To make the app work, we send strictly necessary data to:

  • Google Gemini (Google LLC) — conversation text and context to generate the companion's replies.
  • ElevenLabs (ElevenLabs Inc.) — text to synthesize as audio when you enable voice mode.
  • Supabase (Supabase Inc.) — backend, authentication, storage and sync.
  • RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc.) — subscription management via Apple StoreKit.
  • Apple and Google — native authentication (Sign in with Apple / Google), push notifications, and OTA updates.

Inside the app, under Settings → Legal & Support → Support Center, you'll find the up-to-date list of providers and what we use them for.

4. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use advertising SDKs or IDFA.
  • We do not show your content to other users — Nakama has no public profiles, user-to-user messaging, or feed.
  • We do not train general AI models with your conversations. Content is sent to AI providers only in real time to generate the session's response.

5. Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete it entirely at any time from the app: Settings → Your account → Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, conversations, memories, diary and marketplace inventory.

6. Minors

Nakama is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

7. Changes

If we update this policy, we will notify you in the app or by email before any material change takes effect.
