Frequently asked questions
What is Nakama?
Nakama is a virtual companion with an animated face. You talk to it (by text or voice), it listens, remembers context across sessions, and reacts with expressions. Available on iPhone and iPad.
How do I manage my Nakama Pro subscription?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Nakama Pro. From there you can change plan, pause it, or cancel it.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. If you cancel, you keep Pro access until the paid period ends.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
Open Nakama → Settings → Nakama Pro section → tap Restore. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
How do I delete my account and my data?
In the app: Settings → Your account → at the bottom, red Delete account button. Confirm twice. This permanently erases your profile, conversations, diary, and marketplace inventory.
Your IAP subscription is not cancelled automatically — cancel it from iOS Settings so it doesn't keep renewing.
Can I use Nakama without an account?
Yes. On the launch screen you can tap “or continue without an account”. Your data stays only on this device. If you later link an Apple or Google account, your data is preserved.
What data does Nakama send to external services?
For your companion to reply, we send conversation text and required context to:
- Google Gemini — text response generation.
- ElevenLabs — voice synthesis, only when you enable voice mode.
- Supabase — account storage and cross-device sync.
- RevenueCat — subscription management (via Apple StoreKit).
We do not sell data to third parties, we do not use advertising tracking SDKs, and we do not require App Tracking Transparency. More detail in the Privacy Policy.
I'm not getting notifications. What do I do?
Check: iOS Settings → Notifications → Nakama → enabled. In the app, go to Settings → Notifications and tap Re-enable notifications.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email us at nakama@uxui.fans. If you can, include the app version (Settings → About → Version) and your iPhone/iPad model.
